Welcome to Orphic Academy! I’m Violet Stone Gutierrez, founder of Orphic Academy and Mystical Money Coach.

My journey began with a focus on Empowerment Coaching—helping individuals unlock their potential and transform their lives. However, as my own journey unfolded, I felt an undeniable pull toward something more mystical, a path that blends spirituality, healing, and the complex, energetic relationship we all have with money.

This shift comes from a place of personal exploration and transformation. Having faced deep challenges, I know what it feels like to be stuck, uncertain, and longing for alignment. As I moved through my own struggles and growth, I recognized that money—like any other aspect of our lives—has a powerful spiritual dimension. To me, mystical money coaching isn’t about finances alone; it’s about bridging our material and spiritual worlds to create a life that truly reflects our highest values and dreams.

A Background in Empowerment and Creativity
My work as an author, songwriter, and filmmaker has taught me the power of storytelling, authenticity, and connection, which I now bring to my coaching practice. These creative pursuits have shown me that true transformation involves integrating mind, heart, and spirit.

Why Am I Qualified to Do This Work?
My approach to Mystical Money Coaching is deeply rooted in my personal journey, transformation, and healing.

1. Navigating Trauma and Loss
   From childhood trauma to the recent loss of my father, I’ve faced painful experiences that reshaped my life. These experiences taught me the importance of healing, self-worth, and resilience—qualities I bring to my work as a coach.

2. Realizing the Disconnect Between Achievement and Happiness
   Despite outward success, I found myself questioning the deeper meaning of “success” and learned that true fulfillment requires alignment between our material and spiritual values.

3. A Commitment to Inner Transformation
   At 35, I realized that lasting change required internal growth. Since then, I’ve embraced my journey to rewrite the story of my life, building new beliefs around self-worth, abundance, and spiritual alignment.

4. The Power of Environment in Healing
   Creating a supportive, intentional environment transformed my own life and led me to write my first book. Now, I help clients shape lives and mindsets that support their own growth and transformation.

5. Passion for Guiding Others on a Path of Empowered Spirituality
   My experiences have ignited a passion for helping others reclaim their lives through empowered and spiritually aligned financial choices. I approach coaching with empathy, understanding the struggles and breakthroughs involved in this journey.

• I love to laugh

• I love the wind in my hair so in my free time you can find me on a run, on my bike, or singing loudly with all the windows rolled down

• Speaking of hair, I love my greys

• I love my typewriter and making zines

• I create an unwonted number of voice memos

• You can tell I’m a sucker for a good period drama because I use words like unwonted

• I won a short film grant from Julie Pacino (yes, that Pacino)

• I was the 2022 Murray/Reece Family Award Honoree from Family Equality, (Bruce Cohen got the award in 2023!)

• Insider News did a lovely documentary about our move to Los Angeles that also features my late father

• I have a Bachelor’s from MIAD, a Master’s from UTD, and several Texas Educator Certifications

• In 2012 I tried to get a second Bachelor’s in Nutrition from U of H because I wanted to study epinutrition, but dropped out when I realized they were teaching 19th century concepts

• I taught high school art for almost a decade (meaning I was really just a therapist)

• I used to give Tarot card readings (and still can upon request)

• I have read alllllll the self help books

• I have also read all the books on epigenetics, functional medicine, and neuroplasticity (which is why…)

• I do TM and Ajit Nawalkha’s Heart Meditation (game changers)

• My in-progress certifications include the Trauma-Informed “Nervous System & The Arts Certificate,” and the Associate Certified Coach credential through the ICF

• My coaching certifications include training on Humor, Leadership, and Money

• I’ve personally taken coaching courses on Eating Disorders, Dating, and Finances

• My favorite trainer is a potty mouth

• My Abuela was born in Havana and my Mom in Mississippi — Taiye Selasi on Moses Sumney’s album græ said it best — “I really do insist that others recognize my inherent multiplicity”

• That’s where my two surnames come from — Stone Gutierrez
